令和5年5月3日(水) 殿様街道探訪ウォークin春が開催されました。
“Tonosama Kaidou Walk in Spring” was held on May 3rd, 2023.
“Tonosama Kaidou Walk” is a tour to walk an old road in spring and autumn.
“Tonosama” means lord in matsumae domain.
30名先着順で参加者を募ったところ、ありがたく満員御礼となりました。
We invited 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and thankfully we were able to fill the room.
お天気も暑すぎず照りすぎず、理想的な環境でした。準備班も張り切りました。
The weather was ideal, not too hot and not too shiny. The preparation team worked hard.
非常に多くの皆様にお集まりいただきました。皆さんカラフルな装い。
A very large number of you gathered. Everyone was colorfully dressed.
福島町の鳴海町長はじめご来賓の方々にご挨拶いただきました。
Fukushima Town Mayor Narumi and other distinguished guests greeted the guests.
いざ、約7kmの道のりを楽しむため出発。
Now it’s time to set off to enjoy the 7-km road trip.
第一回よりずっとガイドを務めてくださっている笹島さん。
確かな足取りで進み、要所要所で解説してくださいます。
花や木、地形、動物。千軒地域、殿様街道のあらゆることをご存知です。
身に着けている蓑は、笹島さんお手製です。風を通し水を弾き、大事に扱えば何年も持つ。生活の知恵が随所にあらわれています。
Mr. Sasajima has served as our guide since the first tour.
He proceeds with sure footedness and provides explanations at key points.
Flowers, trees, terrain, animals. We know everything about the Senken area and the Tonosama Kaidou.
The straw raincoat he wears is handmade by Mr. Sasajima. It repels wind and water and will last for many years if handled with care.
The wisdom of daily life is evident everywhere.

アンジェリス神父帰天400年の節目ということで、その解説もいただけました。
Commentary by Mr. Suzuki, curator of the Fukushima Town Board of Education.
Since it was the 400th anniversary of Father Angelis’ return to heaven, we were also able to receive his commentary.
中塚社長も解説してくださいます。

いまや非日常となってしまった山歩き。
ブナをはじめ様々な樹木、草花に囲まれて深呼吸すれば、新緑の薫りが体の奥に染み渡ります。
昔のお殿様も同じ気持ちだったでしょうか。
Hiking in the mountains has become an extraordinary experience.
If you take a deep breath surrounded by beech trees and various other trees, grasses, and flowers, the scent of fresh greenery will permeate deep into your body.
I wonder if the old lord felt the same way.
約7km。長いような、短いような。
About 7 km, which may be long or short.
まるでタイムスリップしたかのよう。
It is as if we have gone back in time.
山越え、谷越え、鉄橋を越え。
Over mountains, over valleys, over railroad bridges.
ブナの森１００年観察林では、渡島総合振興局西部森林室室長よりご説明いただきました。
皆さんご神木からパワーをいただいたようです。
It seems that everyone received power from the sacred tree.
ようやく、峠の茶屋へ到着！
Finally, we arrived at the teahouse at the pass!
おいしいお抹茶と千軒そばまんじゅうをいただきました。
We were served delicious green tea and Senken soba manju (buckwheat buns).
その後、福島町活性化センター「あづま～る」にて、千軒そばをいただき、
松前神楽を鑑賞しました。
皆さん満足いただけたようで、よかったです。
After that, we had Sengen Soba at Fukushima Town Activation Center “Azuma-ru”,
and watched a Matsumae Kagura performance.
We are glad to hear that everyone was satisfied.
